I`ve been pregnant for five months now and it's been going great. But I have a question, has anyone ever wondered how the baby is experiencing the outside world? I am especially interested in how miscellaneous voices sound to the baby. It's supposed to be muffled, but how muffled and are there any other sound modificators that influence it. Are there any devices that could imitate it for me?

Lie down in the bath with head submerged and get DP to talk to you?

I have no idea really but it sounds interesting.

I agree with previous poster that its probably muffled like being underwater in the bath.

There would also be a lot of whooshing noises from your arteries, noises from your digestive system and your constant background heart beat so the muffled noises would be under a lot of layers of other sounds.

Some sounds cut through the layers easier. I remember dropping a metal spoon n the kitchen sink while washing up and the baby really jumped. He would do the same if I flicked the side if the bath hard with my nail when I was in it.
