A good friend who made a huge effort for me on my (pregnant) birthday this year is having a fancy dress birthday party with the theme 'things beginning with the letter N'.

Assuming I haven't had the baby by then, I'll be 39+2.

What on earth can I go as?! Any clever ideas? Please help me!

(And I don't feel remotely sexy or naughty so no nuns/nurses or 'naughty something' suggestions please!!)

And as my OH is going, so we could go as some sort of coupled N pair (if we could think of anything....!)

Thanks!

Wait...just read the OP properly.

Nuns are sexy?!

Smugsmuggler · 21/09/2013 22:49

'Normous?

What type of nuts? The edible variety or testicles? Blush

Seriously. I can't recommend the Nun costume highly enough.

Less than a tenner for what is basically a black tent with elastic & you don't even need to do your hair.

Your most comfy shorts/vest/pjs underneath & a nice comfy plait or loose ponytail under your veil. What's not to like Wink

Go as a Newborn.....pop on a onesie, job done.

Maybe just No.

I had a fancy dress party at 40 weeks. I went as a panda dressed in black with eyeliner on my nose. I was so uncomfortable and only made it to 9pm.

I usually love dressing up but I really was too big and tired to care.

Sorry, not very positive. Grin I hope you have a better time than I did!

Go as yourself in the guise of 'Nearly there' or 'Now!' Possibly even 'Never again'? Grin

'Nativity'. Dress up as Mary with your husband as Joseph. Take a stuffed donkey and maybe a manger if you can knock one up using an old carrycot and some hay. Look tired and stressed.

Love Nativity!

Make a big horn out of some rolled up paper and go as a narwhal.
