Heartbeat at 13 weeks.

Afternoon everyone, I'm super happy as today I heard baby's heartbeat for the first time!

I had my first Consultant appointment this morning due to me being high risk - it was a bit daunting really. I have been referred to the Foetal Development Centre for all future scans and reviews and they want me to have 4 weekly Consultant appointments and growth scans.

It was amazing hearing the heartbeat though. The midwife told me she may not be able to find it as I'm only 13 weeks but as soon as she put the Doppler on me, there it was straight away, beating away nicely

My blood pressure and pulse are still high but I have a machine now that enables me to check it myself at home.

It is becoming very real now!!

Congratulations! I'm ten weeks today and really looking forward to being able to hear the heartbeat at the midwifed and being able to feel the kicks a few weeks later :)

Fantastic news Writer!! Just bought myself a home doppler and its fab being able to have a listen at home as well rather than just every month or so at the midwife :)

I'm 10+5 today and my Doppler arrived at 10+1. Am on holiday at the moment so been having a little listen each night just to check I haven't boiled baby in the sun lol.

It's amazing to hear and it's been great for my in laws to listen too. Don't think I would use it every day at home but it's certainly been reassuring while we've been away

Exiting! Ive got my first scan on Wed and youve just got me all exited again! Cannot wait!
