What is this?!

I'm 34+5 and have been experiencing all sorts of aches and pains which I have put down to braxton hicks and ligament pain.

Early hours of this morning I rolled over in bed and was met with a really painful cramping in my lower abdomen and pelvis, almost in the area where my pelvis meets my leg iyswim!

It lasted about a minute (possibly a bit less) and in that time I couldn't move at all, I tried to stretch my leg out but that seemed to make the pain worse.

Anyone have any ideas what may have caused it? And if its something I need to worry about?

It might have been baby lying on a nerve or similar.

How does it feel now when to stand up?

It's fine now, I was a little stiff when first getting out of bed this morning but that's not unusual'

Baby lying on a nerve does sound very plausible though, Thankyou!

I've been getting it the last few weeks (I'm now 40+1). I just put it down to the weight of the baby on my pelvis as he is engaged and joints etc are softening up. I get it when I lie on one side for too long. Think the only cure is childbirth tbh.

I had that a few weeks ago! Talk about feeling like a beached whale, I couldn't move for about 5 mins! Just stuck on my back and I needed a wee, I'm really slim too so no extra weight contributing! Didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I rang the midwife in the morning and she said it sounded like baby was on a nerve and nothing to worry about! x

yep I get this. Very painful, thigh pain etc. It's baby on a nerve, try clapping over your bump to get them to wake up/shift.

Thanks ladies!

It's happened a couple time since and in my awaken state I can tell its a nerve pain.

These last 5ish weeks are gonna be the death of me!!!
