Overdue with a high head

Cut a short story even shorter: Am 40 plus 2 with my second baby. 2 weeks ago the midwife said I was 3/5 engaged. Today, I am now no longer engaged at all.

She wouldn't do a sweep due to a high head and has booked an induction in 12 days time.

Any ideas what they might do to induce me? She said they might struggle as the head is so high and would need to push down on my bump to break my waters (don't fancie this, there is no room left to do this, bump is up against my rib cage). Midwife seemed similarly doubtful...

Hello, congrats on baby to be! Grin I had a similar situation but had to have c section in end, but that was because I think I have a slightly odd pelvis (both my kids were in funny positions). It is still early days for you (I had c section for dc2 at 42+3) so you don't need to agree to an induction yet. You don't have to agree to an induction full stop if you don't want it.

Hopefully someone who knows more about induction than I will be along soon.
