Back pain at 22w

I'm 22w and my lower back is so sore. It's worse when I'm sitting down (crossed legged is slightly better but wont help my already terrible varicose veins!). The only thing that helps is lieing down and even then only on my sides. Walking around is also not too bad if not for too long. I am overweight and bump is already quite big. Is there anything I can do to help it?

I'm on holiday at the moment so quite easy to lie down a lot although not very sociable! I'm dreading the 12 hr flight home and being back at my desk all day. I assume it'll just get worse as the bump gets bigger!!

I started with lower back pain around the same time. I used a bump support - I first tried a velcro one, but it was simply itchy and annoying. I then got this one from Carriwell and it worked really well for me. Nothing magic, just seemed to ease things up a bit and made any discomfort unnoticeable or only became uncomfortable after a really long period of sitting.

I also found sitting on stools much better than backed chairs/sofas, I think it forced me into a better posture. At worked I traded my desk chair with wheels and arms with a pretty basic but well-made wooden stool. It was great! I was so much more comfortable like that.

Funnily enough one the bump got really big, around 32+ weeks, I no longer needed the support. Its size seemed to make it support itself... Hmm
