39+5 and woken with bump pains

I woke up about an hour ago with an intense pain at the top left of my bump - it kind of felt like a stitch. It was continuous for a while but seems to have died down now. At the same time I have quite bad backache and keep getting sharp pains down the left hand side of my bump and down into my cervix area. They don't really feel like I would imagine a contraction would - they are sharper and stabbier. All the pain seems focused on the left hand side apart from the back pain which is across both sides.

Any ideas?? Could this be the start of something or just some strange ligament pains?

Might be the start of something. Try and get some sleep. Fingers crossed for you that it all goes smoothly :)

I haven't got anything useful to say but just wanted to let you know you're not the only one awake and wondering... I'm 38+1 and have woken up feeling very odd indeed with a stomach ache - my Braxton Hicks have been gradually getting stronger over the last few days, had a funny backache yesterday, the baby is going completely bonkers and I'm as a result feeling a bit suspicious (although I don't know if increased movement has anything to do with anything). I've got a doctor's appointment in the morning so am just waiting till then - will keep my fingers crossed for you Smile

Well I am still awake but it seems to have died down.. Bounced on my ball for a while and took some paracetamol and now just got some residual backache. Darn it I thought this could be it! Going to attempt to get back to sleep and just carry on waiting...
