I've always been big busted, was an E cup pre pregnancy.

At 34 weeks I am a G cup and so expect to be larger than that when my milk comes in.

I really need a nursing bra that's wired.

I plan to get a m&s 2 pack non wired set for when I'm at home etc but I really do need at least 1 wired nursing bra for when I'm out and about.

Any advice?

The only brand that I know of that makes underwired nursing bras is Anita. I also have a large bust but was too big for Anita bras so can't comment on what they're like.

You do need to be careful to make sure the wire totally encompasses your breast tissue as if it doesn't you could be more susceptible to blockages. You may find it best to stick with non wired bras for the first few weeks whilst your milk comes in and supply starts to even out.

I'm a 30 back and Anita start at 32 so I ended up taking a pair of scissors to some normal bras. You can buy clips online.

is it worth going somewhere good and seeing if they can try and fit you in a good non wired nursing bra?! maybe a good make properly fitted one would offer enough support?!

This bra is amazing. I've ordered three of them. I was a 36F pre-pregnancy and these fit amazingly well and are very supportive.

I was out trying on bras today
:( highly depressing

I dont fit in marks&spencers biggest nursing/soft cup bra now and im only 23weeks! But it was not supportive enough for my lumps of lard and too small in the back so ive gone for some under wired normal bras and hope i dont get too much bigger

I know from pre-pregnancy experience that non-wired bras always make me look like a saggy-breasted heiffer. I'm 21 weeks and have been trying to delay the move to nursing bras for ages out of sheer vanity. Now have to finally concede that my normal bras are killing me and it's time to scale up. I notice the bravado link has some underwired ones - may give them a whirl...

I hate non wired bras but couldn't get Anita comfy, so for the first time in twenty years wore non wired. I heads couple of hotmilk ones (from a nursing bra shop online) and a couple of bravissimo ones. I started with a bravado one (which is all stretch). The mothercare basic ones were better than the m&s ones.

Nursing bras seem so expensive given presumably we'll want a few of them!!!

Has anyone bought any that have a decent fit but cost sub £30??

Have you tried ebay for maternity bras ? That's where I off loaded mine...

The Anita ones all seem so expensive, I can't justify spending that on one bra I don't think.

I will have a 2nd look at mothercare but I don't think they go up very large.

Mothercare only go up to a g so no good even for my non wired ones.

Looking at the Emma Jane ones I can't find any in the right size with wiring....any links?

I've just got fitted for an Elle macpherson bra. It's gorgeous and has moulded cups so more like my normal pre-pregnancy bras

What size do they go up to fairy?

I got a 34e but I think they had 38 backs and bigger cups too. Not sure what their biggest is tho I'm afraid. I got it in house of Fraser

Bravado arnt going to be big enough by the looks of thier sizing guide unfortunately.

The one I got is the only one I've seen with moulded cups rather than just fabric. Gives me a lovely shape. I tried on a fancier lacy one from the same collection and it gave me an equally good shape but I couldn't afford two in one go!

I like the Elle McPherson ones too. They look like normal bras and seem to have a nicer structure.

Have found the mothercare ones shrink in the wash, really quite disappointing.

Throughout the course of my pregnancy I have been really disappointed with lots of aspects of maternity wear, it seems so odd that it's so difficult to buy nice maternity clothes / undies without having to trawl through loads of websites etc.

OK, its not underwired, but I am a 36GG when I am not pregnant, and I can't even remember what I go to at the height of my breastfeeding... but anyway - the Royce range was really supportive without wires. I think the Sadie one was the best. Worth trying on? They have them in Bravissimo (a shop I recommend for fitting services when pregnant)

I've just looked on figleaves and there's a few underwired nursing bras going up to H cups! Bit pricey but I think I can get away with spending that on 1 decent bra for public outings and then some non wired m&s ones for home and more casual days!
