I had it with DC2 really badly and saw a physio who gave me lots of exercises to do which really helped. Predictably I have forgotten them all and am now 22 weeks pregnant and feelings the first signs of it returning. Mainly sharp pain deep in my bum cheek! With 2 kids to look after taking lots of rest isn't really an option, but I know the exercises can make a big difference so please if you know any let me know what they are.

Thanks in advance...

Pelvic floor exercises - hold for a count of 5 each time and try to do you your front (wee) and back (poo) ones.
Then my physio also has me holding in my tummy muscles for a count of 5.
Do as much as possible and try to remember to hold them all when getting in/out of car, chair etc

Do you have a support belt? I was recommended a Serola one by someone on here - miles better than the one offered by physio - they are £30 amazon though

And hold everything vv important when picking up your DC - cos obviously the advice is not to pick them up - but that is really not going to happen Grin

I'm 27 weeks with dc2 and SPD is awful. Doesn't help that I tried to run up stairs at friends house as DS (2.9) was crying in weird way - don't try running! (he was fine btw)
