Has anyone got any tips of what to take for the above? I rubbed a ton of Vicks on my chest last night which helped. I'm just dreading this mornings' sickness with my throat....
Think the cough is probably the worst.

What medicines have you taken that have been fine to use in pregnancy, or is it just a case of riding it out...Sad

I had the worst bad cold in my first trimester and obviously there is not much you can take. I lived off paracetamol, soup, Vicks rubbed onto back, chest and feet, orange juice and that was about it. It took ages to go too and I was soon miserable. Make sure you drink loads, get plenty of rest and don't try to do too much.

Oh and the cough made me sick too - the only morning/evening sickness I had was when I coughed so much. Just be kind to yourself.

i feel your pain, ive caught it at33+2 weeks. im surviving with paracetamol n vicks inhalor. sounds gross but if you stick the inhalor in your nose leave it there for 5-10 mins it clears my nose enough to get me to sleep x

Oh god Sad may as well go back to bed then as DP has taken DS out for the morning.
Will dose myself up with Vicks & fluids, I'll have to see how I feel later as I went home from work on Friday with the start of it (plus bad sickness) obviously I shouldn't share but I always feel bad taking time off work.

I'm with you too. In my second trimester I got the worst ever cold/cough/congestion and ended up with no sense of taste or smell for 3 weeks. MW even warned me it could stay that way until birth of baby! I just took some paracetamol which included vitamin c and sniffed olbas oil continually. I've suffered from a blocked-ish nose ever since which doesn't help with my snoring but have just accepted this as part of my pregnancy.

There isn't much you can do really other than paracetamol and ride it out - it feels like it'all last forever but it won't!!!

Thanks for you.
