Hi I've been taking them for 3 days just one a day I wondered if any one taking them had any side effects. They are helping a lot I was only sick twice yesterday which I can handle and it had toned the feeling of nausea down a little.

I was taking them for several weeks at the start of my pregnancy. The first doses I was given was through injection because I was in hospital - this had a dramatic affect of making me feel really drunk and I lost control of my muscles so needed a wheelchair!! - so when I moved onto tablets I guess I was on a lower dosage, I didn't feel those side effects again! I guess at the start it made me quite sleepy (I once fell asleep at the lunch table.. oops).
Overall, I found they helped me keep enough food down to not go back into hospital. They wouldn't help me keep down everything - so have had to learn what I can handle and what I can't.
I felt they stabilised me, but when I had my dips in the few weeks afterwards, I felt that if I threw up I threw up and cyclizine wouldn't prevent that.
So they've helped me keep food down, I'm now not taking them by choice, I'm only throwing up less than once a week now (24 weeks preg), but I'm still not gaining weight :/
How many do you take a day? Stick on them longer, I say give it a week before you feel the real benefits. :) Good luck & I hope you feel better soon! :)

I only take one a day doc give me a months supply but I was sick after I took one this morning so having a rubbish day.. I took it to early, Saturday I slept in till 10 ( latest I sleep in is 8 ) then on the afternoon have a two hour nap. Then went to be and 11 so I feel really sleepy with them. But they have made a massive different sick two times a day which is a massive improvement. Feel slightly dizzy with them but its my first week on them so just settling in. Thanks for your reply really helpful. You sound like you have a much worse case of sickness :(

Hi sarah. Was on these until 22 weeks with current pregnancy - the dizziness lasted for about a week for me. I was taking 3 a day, spaced out over the day (though not as spaced as recommended 8hrs between each) and was only sick once or twice a day - massive improvement. I would say up the dosage if you feel it would help - there's absolutely no risk in doing so and you may find you feel even better doing this. Good luck!

Hi Sarah, I was on them with my first pregnany 3 a day from 7-26 weeks and found they really helped stopped me vomiting all the time. I still felt sick, but I could work/function.

This pregnany (currently 38 weeks) I was on them 6-26 weeks and again found they really helped.

I did find they made me tired, and a bit spaced out, but for me that was a lot better than my head down a toilet all day and all night long!

Good luck x x x

Thanks ladies I can't believe your sickness lasted so long. I'm 9 weeks and had sickness for 5 weeks and the thought of still having it at 26 weeks makes me want to cry. Amazing ladies all of you x

I've been on these since 8 weeks (12 now). I felt so tired and spaced out at first, for the first couple of weeks. That has eased now and I've gone from three a day to one as the horrendous sickness seems to be going.
