engaged then not engaged ?

I was meant to of seen my midwife monday but it was a different midwife doing her job anyways, she felt babys head and said it wasnt engaged but i was in hospital bout 2weeks ago and they said babys head was engaged. Can baby move from being engaged or once there in engaged they stay in engaged and the midwife i saw monday may of got it wrong im 40+2 weeks now

Think I heard if it's not your first then the baby can bop in and out of engagement.

if they are fully engaged it is unlikely, but anything else yes, they can go in an out.

Its my third also getting worried that im gona have to be induced i was induced with my other two and im over due now :( just wasnt sure cus she said i wasnt engaged

My baby engaged at 24 weeks. Huge panic and bed rest. Then moved back up. (Phew)

I'm currently 40+4 with DD2 today & I saw midwife on Wednesday who said baby was engaged, but it's very common that consecutive babies tend to bob up & down. Doesn't make you feel any better as you just wish something would happen, but be encouraged your body is doing all the right prep work.

I hope you don't have too much longer to wait till your little one is here. Exciting times

I feel exactly the same. I went 12 days over with my first so narrowly missed an induction, but the thought if needing one this time is scaring me.
Let's think pushy positive thoughts together!

I think thats the only thing we can do :D seeing my midwife monday so hopefully she can try guess where im at hope im engaged this time.
