Hi,

I am coming up on 41 weeks.

I have had a lot of thicker discharge all week. Lot of pressure last night... not sure what lightening I but it was like a pain on my pelvic bone. Anyway, this morning I have brown discharge.

Do need to ring the hospital yet.. or will I wait.. they advised us it is easier to have early labour at home. I am packed and ready to go and hospital is 10 minutes drive.

Thanks so much.

I would try and hang in at home as long as possible

Yes I can't remember the exact rules (I will need to as I'm 21 wks with DC2) but until you're having regular contractions/cannot cope/waters break/are very concerned about something.... you don't need to call or go to hospital.

That was the impression I got from their advise too.. thank you very much..

Think I will sit it out and wait. I think she said you shouldn't be able to talk... I don't have that problem anyway!!! Can yap away.. ha ha

It's like 4/5 mins apart before my hospital let you in and they have to speak to you on the phone first not your oh or mum actually you so they can hear you

notundermyfoof · 14/09/2013 14:19

Most hospitals tell you to stay at home until you are having 3 contractions in 10 minutes and can't talk through them but they won't mind you calling for advice or reassurance before you need to go in. It sounds to me like things are starting for you, try to rest and eat something while you can and keep us updated Smile

Thanks girls.. Well I am still the same. Cooking here trying to keep busy and had a bowl of soup. Appreciate the reassurance. Have a lovely weekend.
