Winter coats?

Now the weather is starting to cool down I have had to accept I will need a new coat. EDD is 16th December so something to wear through November to February (not expecting to be back in my normal clothes for a while!) is going to be a must.

I obviously don't want to spend a lot and size wise I have a broad back and big boobs which are getting bigger by the minute so think I need to look at a size 18.

I've looked around and only seen one coat from Jojomama Bebe where you can add a panel at the front with zips (clever) so the coat can be worn post pregnancy too. Problem is it's a parker and whilst this will be perfect for all those winter walks I'm planning on taking it's a bit too casual for wearing in the evening when going out or even to wear to work (I work in an independent school and they like us to be fairly smart).

I hate having to spend money on clothes I will only wear for a short time as it seems such a waste. Sad

Have a look on eBay. Because people wear maternity coats for such a short time they tend to be in quite good condition.

Just ordered this: www.seraphine.com/black-knitted-cape.html

I seem to have been obsessed with getting a cape for the versatility - this will hopefully see me through all stages of bump-dom and afterwards.

I think I'm going to struggle. I'm not due until March so I've got all winter to get through. I've got long arms, so I normally buy from 'tall' ranges. But you can't get tall AND maternity, unfortunately! Might just have to get a big man's fleece or something.
