how to survive last few weeks of pregnancy?

So I'm 35 weeks pregnant with my first, and I am sooo done with being pregnant right now. I feel huge, breathless, sleep deprived and hormonal. The nesting instinct is NOT kicking in so I feel like nothing is clean enough, my boyfriend hardly comes home (he says it is easier for him to stay at his mums close to where he work- yeah right he just doesn't want to deal with him newly discovered wailing big lump of a girlfriend)
Seriously guys, how can I speed this hell up? Maybe I'm just saying this out of inexperience but give me two days of labour and childbirth over 10 months of pregnancy anyday!
Don't get me wrong, I'm so excited to meet me lil boy, I love him so much already and I know ill be even more smitten when I meet him, I just cannot wait to not be pregnant anymore. Is this normal? Any tips for getting through it?

Concentrate on doing things you might not be able do when the baby comes along -

  • Go to the cinema (we have been once in 5.5 years since DS1 was born as it seems criminal to pay a babysitter to go and sit in the dark and not talk to each other)
  • get your nails/brows/hair done
  • Read the newspaper cover to cover
  • Sleep in/rest when you can't sleep (will help you feel less grumpy)
  • pregnancy is only 9 months - the baby is the rest of your life
good luck with it all
