I've noticed this for a while but from my belly button down my tummy feels like its got a heart best of its own (obviously deep down inside my little beans heart is thumping awaySmile) but just wondering if this is normal, and any ideas what it could be...?

I get this when I lie down on my front, even when not pregnant. I think it's a main vein/artery.

Could be something to do with the placenta maybe?

I get a strong pulse in my belly sometimes but it's just my heart beat. I think it's just the big arteries there Smile

greentshirt · 14/09/2013 08:35

It's a main artery, there's more blood pumping around that area when you are pregnant so you notice it more

Wind?!

I've had this a few times, and sure enough if I check my pulse at the same time its in rhythm with it.

Yep I got it between pregnancies and felt like baby flutters, obviously it wasn't. You'll feel it soon enough then it won't stop until the end! x
