At what point in your pregnancy did you feel the need to wake up in the middle of the night for a toilet visit ? And how often ? Not got there yet but I'm trying to be mentally prepared thanks !!

From day one, I am now 25 weeks! How many times a night I go has varied at different stages. The other night I went 4 times, but the night after I only went once, at 5am, which is practically morning.

On a good note, I used to be a little scared of the dark, childish I know, but goes back to an episode of the Xfiles I saw when I was too young to see it. I have had to get over that and no longer need to turn on all the lights and run back to bed, it is too much like hard work!

cathpip · 12/09/2013 18:08

With my first it started at 20 weeks, with my second I never needed the loo in the middle of the night. With this one I swear its using my bladder as a pillow, I'm 10 weeks and can go no longer than 2 hours overnight.....

MissCalamity · 12/09/2013 18:13

Ahh, nights of sleeping through without a wee stop!
I'm 8 weeks with DC2 and must go about 3-4 times a night, however I do drink a lot of water.

Before getting pregnant with DC1 I rarely used to go but since then it's a current occurance; thankfully we've now moved house & the en-suite is a roll away Grin

Both of mine were from the off until about 13 weeks and then not until baby was huge with ds and I'm now 20w3d and rarely get up in the night. I do have abour 900000000 trips in the day though!

Daffodill27 · 12/09/2013 18:38

From about 9 weeks just once in the night... I'm now 29 and must go 3/4 times a night :( boo hoo! No sleep for me.

MummyJetsetter · 12/09/2013 18:42

About 32 weeks so not too bad. x

Sammi1986 · 12/09/2013 18:51

32 weeks?! I'm jealous of this lady ^^
Been having to get up in the night for the last week, so from 7 weeks. Sighhh

SeriousStuff · 12/09/2013 18:56

From around 33 weeks, I'm now 35+6 and it's really annoying!

KirjavaTheCat · 12/09/2013 18:57

I'm 32 weeks and not every night. Once at most. Started only recently but I'm sure it'll become every night and more than once before long!

PinkApple86 · 12/09/2013 19:24

I've not slept through a whole night for 39 weeks! With bubs due any time I don't expect a full nights sleep for the foreseeable future Grin

Excited85 · 12/09/2013 19:27

I was getting up at around 3 or 4 am for the loo until about 16 weeks but nothing since then. Am 35 weeks now so hoping it stays this way :-) x

mrspaddy · 12/09/2013 19:28

I am 40+ 4 and never have to get up for the toilet. Thank Godness!

Xenadog · 12/09/2013 20:39

From about 10 weeks I have been getting up once a night - occasionally I sleep all the way through or until about 5am and I am now 26+3. Don't really want to be getting up more than once a night but I expect that won't be far away!

BigKicker · 12/09/2013 21:02

From 30 weeks and I'm pretty much awake every 2 to 3 hours. When I wake around 5am baby wakes up with me and kicks for about an hour. I miss sleep.

Writerwannabe83 · 12/09/2013 21:31

I found I was weeing a lot (day and night) between weeks 5-8 but then it eased off. I'm almost 12 weeks now and I don't think I wee any more than the next person and I certainly don't wake up in the night thank god x

Sarahmains40 · 12/09/2013 21:37

I'm 9 weeks I wake up about 2 then 6 needing wee so annoying after speaking to you today about sickness I'm surprised I even have fluid to pee prbs been like that for 2 weeks :)

blondebaby111 · 12/09/2013 21:47

Oh god!! The nightime toilet trips Shock right from the beginning I was up frequently in the night. Sometimes its just once or twice, others its every two hours...very annoying and I'm only halfway!!!!

Carole803 · 15/09/2013 12:58

I am so very jealous of those of you who have wee-less nights. Last night my baby thought my bladder made for a good cushion. I have lost count of the number of times I got up for unsatisfactory wees, but I do know I went three times between 4 and 6 this morning! Ahhh bless ??

ladymalfoy · 15/09/2013 17:32

Carole. Which ep of X files? I'm weeing till I drop off then thru til morning. So about 4 times after I'm in bed.

greentshirt · 15/09/2013 18:29

I bet a Tooms X Files, they were the scariest by miles!

I have to get up once or twice a night, its really disrupting my sleep, I used to sleep right through before!

I dont go very much in the day though, so it must be something to do with lying down!

Carole803 · 15/09/2013 18:58

It was the episode where the "man" stretched his way up the drains and water pipes in the house and ripped people's liver from them before they had a chance to get away. Usually while they were doing something mundane like brushing their teeth or weeing! And he could reach people as they were walking away, im the dark! That is all I really remember. I must have been about 11 when I saw it and it must have been an accident. Although I remember watching plenty of episodes with my parents and none of them freaking me out like that one did. It must have hit a nerve!

I stopped watching the X files when I could set my watch to the episode.

Norfolknway · 15/09/2013 19:03

My first pregnancy, not at all.

This one (2nd), since about 20 wks...it's a proper bore!

greentshirt · 15/09/2013 20:05
