Just as it says above really.

Last AF started on 19th Aug we DTD on 29th Aug and 30th Aug (other times with protection) and last 2 days have felt nauseous, have excess saliva/funny taste in mouth and having stomach cramps/pains. I wouldn’t have thought about it however i never feel nauseous ever so am wondering could i be pg? It seems early though?

I have no idea about fertility/length of monthly cycles etc and how likely it might be i am PG and i expect AF will be due roughly the end of next week but read last night that most tests can measure HCG levels 2 weeks after conception so that would suggest i could test at the weekend?

Those digital tests say they “date the PG” and can show 1-2 weeks so they might work however they are ridiculously expensive so any thoughts on when i should test and what to use? I hear Superdrug and poundland ones could be good if early testing though have no idea?

Thanks ladies

Hello. I got a positive with a first response early detection three weeks four days after my last period. It wasn't a squinty line so I prob could have got one the day before as well. I felt sick from three weeks three though so I might have had high hormone levels.

Give it a go! Good luck Smile

I was told by my GP that even the cheap tests are pretty accurate, go get one from your local supermarket, at around £3 it will put your mind at rest one way or another. Good luck!

The cheap ones have always worked well for me a day before my period. I bought mine on amazon). I had nausea 2 and a half/ 3 weeks after conception, so what you are feeling could be pregnancy symptoms... But you won't know till you test :) good luck!

Superdrug ones. Cheap and one of the most sensitive available.

tesco own brand test work well

lolablu · 12/09/2013 12:35

morrisons currently have clearblue ones with a few pounds off...

Rockchick1984 · 12/09/2013 12:36

Clearblue digital are actually far less sensitive - first response early result, or superdrug, or the pound shop tests that are just a dipstick rather than a plastic case type, will all detect a far lower lever of HCG than digi tests will :)

When i had my DS i was quite lightheaded rather than sick and was lucky enough to never have MS but i am really feeling squiffy today and coupled with the odd stomach twangs. Will head to shops over weekend and buy a test if it continues i might just be coming down with the lurgy!!

I am completely your opposite, sick constantly with my first, and lightheaded and bloated with my second, no vomiting though? All very strange!

elcranko · 12/09/2013 17:20

I got a faint line on an Internet cheapie test 5 days before AF was due. You'd probably have to wait a couple of days to get some delivered but you can probably buy similar in a pound shop.

Good luck! Smile

I had no symptoms apart from feeling exhausted! I was due on on the sat, tested with first response on the we'd and came back negative. Tested again the sat morning and BFP.
I used an app on my phone, "period diary", it helped track the days I ovulated, how long my cycle was, how regular I was etc xx
