Morning everyone Smile

I had to go and see my GP yesterday to get a sick note as I have been off work for 2 weeks with pregnancy issues : bleeding and vomiting. I'm feeling much better now but she wants me to remain off until next week.

Anyway, she checked my blood pressure when I was there, thinking it may be low but actually it was high at 138/96. My pulse rate was 100 but she thought that may be down to anxiety. She said the fact that my blood pressure was high (the 96 reading in particular) was of "great significance in the 1st Trimester" and that I need it monitoring.

Prior to getting pregnant I w as on Beta Blockers but this was for palpitations, not blood pressure. I have ever had high blood pressure before and at my Booking-In appointment it was fine, as was my pulse.

Has none else had high blood pressure in their 1st trimester and why is it so significant?
