Hi,

I'm 35.4 weeks amd keep having periods when I can literally feel my heart pounding in my chest. sometimes its just that and other times it's coupled with laboured breathing and the other day my legs/arms felt a little numb (that's the only way I could describe it)

It doesn't often last more than 5mins-10 mins or so and doesn't happen every day.
Do you think I should be worried about it call hospital or midwife or something?

ps it's happening now!

Didnt want to read and run, and am sure someone else will be along soon. This has happened to me nearly every night since I was 22 weeks (now 33). I have a low iron count so midwife increased my dosage which helped for a bit, however, I am asthmatic so it is related to that as well.
If you are worried at all I would phone midwife. Hope you feel better soon x

Get yourself some spatone. I had the same thing you had when pg, spatone sorted it out.

I get this. It's normal in pregnancy but you're best to get yourself checked out. Make an appointment with your GP :)

Thank you for your replies. I did call the day assessment unit at hospital and they advised to get checked out.

All okay and dr said it can be common to get palpitations during pregnancy were happy with my heart etc.

Glad I got checked as my dh gets cross when I down play things and wait until my next midwife app but I do feel like I wasted their time! (hospital didn't make me feel this btw they were great! )
