Blood tests came back and little concencred thyroid

My doctors have just phoned me to make another appointment for another blood test she said my thyroid test came back with a low ph balance I think what does this mean I'm really worried

Hello, I have an under active thyroid and am at the end of a healthy pregnancy. I've been on meds since 18 and am now 31. So first off, please don't panic and assume the worst. When I was first pregnant I googled too much and totally freaked myself out, so avoid that if you can.

It might mean you are under consultant led care and need more blood tests, but that can be quite reassuring.

I haven't heard of ph in relation to thyroid before - but again is day dont worry, go along with the tests and see what they say. I hope it goes well, let us know how you get on.

Thanks roller mum. I was initially panicking and didnt are in what she said to me just something about my thyroid and hearts ph low. Ill ring bk in the morning and write down what she says, to be honest if I do have an underactive thyroid it would explain a lot. Thanks you have put my mind at ease nothing I can do untill further results :)

Hi there I've had an underactive thyroid since I was 10 (now 34!). Are you sure ph was said and not tsh?!

Tsh is a usual level taken when testing for thyroid function.

Don't panic tho - I'm 32 weeks pregnant and apart from endocrinology appts and shared consultant/midwife care my thyroid hasn't given me any problems.

I'm not sure i was panicking I'm sure she said ph but I could be wrong she said need another blood test for thyroid when I asked if there was something wrong she said something about ph.probs best phone up tomorrow and ask again lol I will try not to worry I have calmed down now since this morning lol
