In early pregnancy (7wks) and think I have my first ever bout of thrush BlushBlush. Basically quite itchy Blush

Anyway, I'm on day 2 of applying canesten (?) cream and it has made no difference. I'm impatient I know. Any other tips?

Sorry embarrassing thread

Lots of probiotic yoghurt worked for me in early pregnancy, am now just about in to third trimester and have got it in my armpit. Yep. No idea how it happened but it itches like hell! Will be sending DH out on a yoghurt run tomorrow, wonder if I can use the cream too! Hope it clears up soon for you, but don't be embarrassed as its quite common in pregnancy.

You can use the Canesten pessaries - my GP said one every couple of days til it is gone and prescribed me some.
The other thing you could try is a probiotic food supplement with acidophilus, from holland and barratt or similar.

Thanks, so glad I'm not alone! Will start investigating yoghurts!

Canesten pessaries. Though make me worse before better. Also be cautious of passing back and forth between you and DP.

This sounds weird, but peel a clove of garlic and pop it in there! Garlic kills yeast dead. Worked for me!

Goodness poppetty - are you really serious? What made you try it in the first place?!

Having googled it there do seem to be others recommending it! Shock I'm not sure I have the courage. There's a very amusing tale from someone who struggled to remove it.

Thanks though!

Haha I know it sounds bonkers--I read about it somewhere because I don't like chemicals up there unless absolutely necessary! I've never had an issue with not being able to get it out, you just bear down and gently get it out with your finger. I just pop one in before bed for a couple nights and problem solved! good luck!
