I feel insane!!!!

I wanted to get pregnant but its happened alot sooner than expected! I'm freaking out about Wedding dresses and if I go into labour... oh god!

I'm only between 4-5 weeks so it might not end well due to two early pregnancy losses (5-6 weeks)and one late loss (23weeks), so im freaking out about that too!

Anyone got any advice which might get me through the next 2 weeks and my wedding!!!!

Can the Wedding Date be changed??
Have you had it booked for ages??

My husband suggested we 'start trying' 3 months before we got married and I said absolutely no way!!! Grin I didn't want to risk even the smallest of bumps, let alone labour Grin

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!!!!

No, with the venue and the vicar they are fully booked all next year! I've had it booked for 5 months around, and we have booked a £170 room for he night of the wedding!!! Oh god :(.

Thank yiu! I'm happy, shocked, scared!

Congratulations on your pregnancy, hope baby stays put long enough. Do make sure you delegate lots and rest, don't want puffy ankles or to be feeling too exhausted on your 'big' day.

I was 36 weeks when we got married. We had no guests, just witnesses and a lunch for six afterwards. I still haven't seen the photos as it was so far from my ideal..... But we wanted to be married before dd was born (just something that felt like it mattered at the time) and so we were.
It'll be fine but step away from the stress - delegate massively and let go of the control.

I'm currently 37 weeks and feeling/looking fine other than a medium sized bump.

If I'd have got married (or had to attend any social event) between 6-20 weeks I would have cried because i had very bad nausea/sickness, but now I feel positively normal (I know everyone's different!) Smile

Good luck!

I do think you're slightly insane though. Two of my friends had babies last week - one at 33 weeks, one at 34! Both first babies...

Anothermrssmith · 10/09/2013 20:56

Congratulations! Yes it may be slightly insane but if your feeling well then there's really no reason why you can't get married at 36 weeks, barring going into labour early! Thinking practically though, assuming you we're to move your date, even if it was into 2015, chances are the venue would transfer your deposit so it wouldn't be lost entirely (I'm saying that but realise how hard that would be for you). Maybe ask the venue to let you know if they have any cancelations so you could bring it forward rather than move it back? Also think about what you truly want for your wedding ,does it have to be the big white wedding with a huge party after or would having a later ceremony in front of just your closest family and friends with a smaller celebration after be just as special? Regardless, you won't be the first person to have gotten married that late in pregnancy and you won't be the last, you'll just need to figure out a way to make it work for you.

I don't care about the wedding, its about the marriage :). Also I really want to be married before my littleone gets here :)

I'm currently 35+3 and think I could manage to get married as long as I was able to sit down for most of the day! Hope it all goes well for you :)

CairngormsClydesdale · 11/09/2013 13:30

I got married at 29 (?) weeks with my second and wore 6" heels and a normal empire line dress. :) It was a small wedding.

Mind you... had my first baby at 36 weeks.

Hi Op

I get married on the 23rd September and I will be 25+4. I have managed to find a brilliant dress maker that specialises in maternity pregnancy dresses. If you are in the North East/West then please see the link below and ask for Sarah Beaumont should you want to speak to someone about a dress.

Congratulations on your BFP and I am sure all will work out fabulously well on your wedding day. Flowers
