Slow labour

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has any experience of slow labour?
I was assessed last Thursday and was 1cm with regular (moderate) contractions. Dr said I'm in slow labour and might see me anytime from later that day to one week!
I've been having more contractions on and off since but nothing worth getting excited about.
Also know that baby is fully engaged and had a show.
So, just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience? I'm wondering if this may actually take weeks rather than days Hmm
Xx

I had this for ages before I finally went into labour with DD1, sorry i know that's not what you want to hear.

With DD2 it was much quicker though, I was in slow labour for about a day before it all became more intense and then suddenly very quick, 30 mins from 6 cm to baby in my arms.

i hope its quick experience for you Smile

Good luck.

I am 40+3 with #2 (#1 was 38 weeks, waters just broke, contractions started a few hours later and was 7 hrs in total with 2 hrs pushing, gas and air) and have been 3cm for at least a week (cramping / pains on and off but nothing massive) and at sweep yesterday membranes bulging - WHEN IS THIS BABY COMING OUT?!

I empathise - particularly as I was prepared for another early kick off so have had everything ready since 37 weeks! - another sweep tomorrow but really hoping to avoid any sort of induction, which doc will want to think about doing at the weekend if no action (I could probs put him off for a bit). Had such a lovely first birth and was hoping for a water birth if I can get there in time!
