dating scan at 9 weeks is this normal?

just wondering what to expect as i have a scan on friday. thought dating scans were usually done at 12 weeks. will i be able to see a baby at 9 weeks?

yes, you will. The hospital where I had ds liked doing dating scans between 8 and 11 wks, although I think some do it later.

you are lucky nbs !!! Our hospital is offering dating scans for between 16-20 weeks..! . Luckily due to past history I am booked in at 12 weeks although due a 9 week scan privatly next week.

With dd we were scanned from as early as 6 weeks, so you couldn't see a "baby" but you could see a fuzzy image lol..!!!
