How sore is it supposed to be?!

I'm 28+2 and the wee one's kicks have really started to hurt. As in, he's cracked one of my ribs. The kicks can only get stronger as he gets bigger right? Or as he gets bigger and runs out of space does it get less sore?

I'm 35+3 and now there's less space, it's definitely more squirming than kicking, although, now it's quite engaged below, my bladder is taking a few hits...

Does it hurt? I'm terrified more of my ribs are going to get cracked Confused

I can't remember when exactly but the kicks definitely become less pronounced. I do sympathise op as I had a two kickers and 3 rib bones on each side sticking out. So sore. Every time I lay down to sleep I felt like I was being stabbed. However I am only 3.5 months post partum and it all seems like a distant memory. Here's hoping your last trimester flies by Flowers

I had a really sore tender rib around the same time as you for a couple weeks.

I'm now 33 weeks and my ribs arnt taking a battering anymore but my bladder and cervix is!

Thank you both, a little less worried now :)

I actually thought my baby broke a rib. But the pain did seem to go about 30 weeks when my bump started to drop. It's prob just stretching pain. There are some prenatal yoga stretches I did that really helped with rib pain. Worth a YouTube search (hard to explain them in words)

Thanks for the advice but honestly, it's cracked. It cracks occasionally since I broke it when I was young.

I've heard of babies cracking ribs with kicks. Perhaps go to a doctor in the morning?

DaleyBump · 10/09/2013 12:02

I'm used to it, doctors can't do anything for cracked ribs but it's just worrying me that it won't heal if he keeps kicking it.
