Shallow I know as I'm growing a beautiful baby inside me and I truly do feel blessed but my god I feel fat today!!!

I'm only 22+4 so have a long way to go. I keep seeing lovely figures everywhere and just feel I'll never be thin again!! My slim figure is gone forever...arghh!!! I know I'm being selfish but just having a down day...when I so deserately wanted to be pregnant all I saw was pregnant women and felt so jealous, now I'm pregnant all I'm seeing is skinny beans everywhere...someone slap me round the face now lol!! Shock

Seriously though, if you want to get your figure back you will do. Don't be surprised if it matters less to you once your baby is here, but if its important to you then you will do it. Just don't expect to pop the baby out and be back to normal the next day :)

blonde I know how you feel. I'm 21 weeks and I feel lumpen in my usual clothes, everything is uncomfortable and doesn't feel or look right.
I'm treating myself to a mini spree, New haircut and all round lovely day out to make myself feel better and happier in myself.
Could you do something like that? Have a nice day concentrating on yourself?
Congratulations btw Smile.

Guys it dont get any nicer,I'm 34+3 and I hate my pregnancy body,I love my baby boy growing inside me but I can't wait for him to be in my arms and my size 8's back on my ever growing body,I've gone from 8st size 8 to currently up 45.4 lbs, size 12 pushing into a 14,and 11st13.4!!! Nothing fits,I can barly move around and I'm knacked,so don't moan yet,if you're owt like me it'll just get worse :( xx

I found it a bit depressing at times when I was still trying to wear my normal clothes, esp around 20-24wks, but then it got easier when I got a big bump, I felt pregnant rather than fat.

Getting some nice new clothes made a huge difference for me, even if I'm only wearing t-shirts and jeans rather than seraphine type stuff I feel smarter and nicer looking. New look is brilliant for cheap maternity stuff, and some of the stuff I got is nice enough to wear as long tunics afterwards as well...

I haven't weighed myself for ages either, which definitely helps!

I'm feeling better today, it must of just been the hormones last night and at night I do feel extra big. It just comes as a shock I think, I've been pretty fprtunate and always stayed the same size give or take half a stone. I went out last week and bought some maternity smart black trousers and some jeans so that did make me feel good but its hard as I can see the weight going on on my legs and my upper arms..I haven't just got this cute little bump..I'm spreading everywhere (well I think I am) but hey!! I wouldn't change it for the world as I'm gonna be a mummy!! Xx

Glad you're feeling a better today!

I can see the weight going onto my arms and back but I keep telling myself that where I put it on first, I'll lose it from first, that seems to be the pattern for me anyway. I'm looking forward to walks with the baby in the pram to work it off! (best laid plans and all that Grin)

That's what I plan to do...5itch the car for a few months and take plenty of walks..although baby is due in jan so weather permiting..hopefully we won't get much snow!! :)
