i am 7 + 4

and i just can not stop eating. i already feel so bloated

got really bad morning sickness and the only things i want are salty carbs like crisps, toast, cheese, chips etc. anything healthy ie fruit and veg literally makes me gag, seriously, its awful. i know you are not meant to diet but i am trying to limit my calories to under 2000.

i am slapping on the coconut oil all over every day to try and keep my skin supple and hopefully minimise stretchmark damage

and am trying to exercise but i am just so tired and sick its almost impossible atm, i dont want to start piling it on in the 1st trimester else i will have no chance and my body will be wrecked afterwards :(

i had my other 2 dcs in my 20's and got back in shape pretty quick after them but was naturally young and slim then, now i have to work at it

does any one have any tips to minimise the damage? :(

Hi ya I'm expecting DC in 6 weeks (and I'm 33 in 2 weeks!) my DC's are 8 and 4, I went through exactly what u are in the early days! I put on some weight quite quickly due to eating crisps being the only thing to stop feeling sick, but honestly now it's levelled off, I've got a neat bump and everyone is saying how well/good I look Smile I've possibly had a few more aches and pains than previous pg's I've put it down to being a bit older and having 2 kids to run around after. I'm still eating rather a lot of crisps but I'm also craving apples and crunchy red grapes! So try not to worry there's plenty of time for things to change and get better, just go with whatever gets u through at the moment Grin I'm really trying to enjoy this pregnancy as it will probably be my last!

thanks the threeblondies and congrats on your pregnancy...glad to hear its going well for you

i just dont want to get huge, as i think the bigger you get when pg the worse damage it does to your body and the longer it takes to lose the baby weight. when i was PG last time i managed with some luck and a lot of willpower to only put on about 15lbs. but i cant see that happening this time

i have already eaten over 1000 cals today and i am still bloody starving

i probably sound a bit nuts but i have terrible body image problems at the best of times, i wish i could enjoy being pg but i never do, as pregnancy seems to exacerbate them :(

what blondies said.
im 35 and pregnant with my second.
some days now I want carbs and sweet things and other days salad and fruit.
Ive managed to stay quite a good size(although ive still got 11 weeks left) and I think the good days help to counter out the bad.
