could this just be a pulled muscle?

On Thursday last week I had my boiler and raidiators replaced, meaning I had to move a lot of stuff about so the work men could get in and done quickly.

I had to move a chest of drawers, I took all the drawers out so that I could move the shell easier. While lifting the shell, something pulled in my fanjo.

Since then, everytime I move awkwardly, at 34 weeks that's quite often, it pulls and hurts. It also aches when I need to go to the loo.

Theres no pain if I'm laid down and if I have a feel around the area it feels tender on the bony bit but no where else. There's no tenderness anywhere else and its the same when standing.

I've only managed to talk to the practice nurse over the phone and she said that it sounds like a pulled muscle and if it still hurts by Thursday to call in and she will try see me.

I'm at the hospital on Thursday for a consultant appt and scan so I can ask then, just wondered if anyone here has been as stupid as me and manger to pull a muscle there before.

I've told 2 friends who just laughed at me and have taken great pleasure in sending me messages enquiring of my fanjo. Bastards.

I've got something that sounds exactly the same but assuming its SPD related (until I can get it checked out for sure). Just posted on here earlier and also asked DS and DSIL who had it to try and find out what I can do to make it stop! Consensus seems to get to the Physio ...

I would ask to see a midwife and get it checked. My friend pulled a muscle and ended up on bed rest because the muscle she pulled was supporting the baby and could have caused early labour if she made it worse.

While its very unlikely to be anything like that, I would want to see an actual person not just telephone triage.

Thanks for the replies, late, I can't imagine anything worse in pg than spd!! It is ny worst nightmare tbh.

Vj, I can't get to the hospital until Thursday due to child care issues (my dad and brother are away until then) and I've got to get yep buses there and back. Might see if I can get the mw out to me on Wednesday morning. She's usually pretty good, it just depends on if she is working weds
