29 weeks preg and I'm going on holiday....tips please!!

I'm about to embark on a late summer holiday in europe and I was wondering if anyone has got any tips things might need to take which aren't that obvious??

nhs.uk/conditions/pregnant covers everything you could want to know. Main thing is you might need a letter for the airline from your doctor saying you are fit to fly. Check with the airline. Check you health insurance and that you have the EHIC if you are going to a country where this is applicable. Have a great time.

Definitely, get a fitness to fly letter. Check with the airline what their rules are in terms of how many weeks pregnant they will allow you to fly. I flew on the last day of my 32nd week, which was the absolute maximum for the airline we used.

Wear flight socks even for a short flight. I went to Spain at 29 weeks and my feet and ankles went massive on the flight and that was with the socks!

Make sure you have full travel insurance cover and check with your travel insurer that they are happy for you to travel at 29 weeks. Some start their restrictions at 28 weeks. Also check with your airline that you don't need a fit to fly certificate. Again some start their restrictions at 28 weeks.

I am flying on the 19th and MW said I must wear flight socks when I travel and drink lst of water before and after the flight to stave off DVT.

travel insurance, fit to fly note, flight socks and leg exercises on flight, plenty of food, water, sunscreen and shade.., and bring your maternity notes.

oh and be careful with hygiene, i caught a nasty vomiting bug where i went. youd be surprised how many people dont wash their hands
