Hi all

I always thought that I would feel fundamentally different when I was pregnant. My mum always said she "knew" before she knew for certain.

I've felt quite sick for a number of weeks but not been sick, been constipated, had trapped wind, slightly sore boobs, swollen nipples with new lumpy bits on them (sorry if TMI!) and white discharge. 12 weeks this coming thursday which is when I have my scan, but just so worried about the scan.

Any advice well recieved!!!!!!

xx

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!

I'm nearly 11 weeks pregnant and I sympathise with the lumpy nipples Grin

What exactly is worrying you about the scan? x

Trapped wind was my main symptom too! Its only at 25 weeks with a bump and movements starting that i feel pregnant or 'different' so don't worry, everyone is different. Chances are that your scan will be just fine :)

Congratulations my friend is currently 5 weeks ahead and she had her scan last week she said the same and it didnt sink in untill she had the scan. I have got bad sickness and like you lumpy sore boobs but like my friend I feel I need to see little baby on scan to feel pregnant. All the symptoms are making me feel ill I some times have to remember I'm not ill I'm pregnant lol

I was exactly the same as you and it wasent until I started to get movement that I felt pregnant. But even then it was easy to forget!

It's only now at nearly 33 weeks that I feel constantly pregnant!

Thanks ladies. I'm just worriesld because a friend of mine had a missed miscarriage and at the scan there was nothing there - thats freaked me out and whenever I imagine what my scan will be like, I cant imagine actually seeing something there. .. 4 days to wait...!

I've felt exactly the same in the lead up to my dating scan in each of my pregnancies. I had my dating scan on Friday as I'm pregnant with dc3 and I was really worried they'd scan me and there wouldn't be anything there even though I've had horrendous morning sickness plus loads of other symptoms and no bleeding.

I think its normal to worry in the lead to the scan. I honestly thought by number 3 I'd be more relaxed but I wasn't. Obviously there was a lovely healthy wriggly baby showing on my scan despite all the worrying. I keep reminding myself no amount of worrying will change the outcome so may as well try to stay calm.
