I'm thinking of getting a video monitor for baby no 2 but I'm not sure because so far all reviews are fairly negative. Any advise please.

We got one and it worked badly and was pointless. Replaced with a simple audio monitor which works just fine. I wouldn't bother with a video one again personally

If you have an ipad or smartphone with wifi you can use a regular webcam with night vision as a baby monitor. This is what my sister did and swears by it. I'm not sure which one she has but there are quite a few around for £30-£40.

Oh that sounds a lot cheaper and we do have an ipad, do you know if you have to get an app?
