Tiniest spotting at 39 weeks

I had a tiny bit of blood (I mean really tiny specks) of blood on wiping and after a bit of a panic and inspection with a mirror I concluded I must have nicked myself when having a quick prune with the razor this morning.

I put on a pad and all clear all day. Until now, same tiny red specks, can't be sure exactly where it's coming from but pretty sure it's not my back passage.

Now all clear again.

At the moment I feel I should just keep a very close eye on myself and ring if anything changes. Or should I be more worried, WWYD?

At 39 weeks I would think that could be mucus plug, or something suggesting labour is on it's way and wouldn't worry! When I went into labour with dc2 I had the same, very small amount of blood when I wiped - the midwife was very happy about that!
Hope to hear of the safe arrival of your LO very soon!
Good luck

Thanks ExactlyWhat, I thought this too.

Just going to keep an eye on myself and baby's movements and probably do nothing unless anything changes/worsens.

Most unlike me in actual fact!

Funnily enough, I had the exact same thing yesterday, and am 39 weeks today. Checked with out maternity assessment unit, and she said it's most likely due to cervix getting ready, and is a good sign Smile
