I'm in the early stages of pregnancy, but am curious to know what things other mums to be struggled with as your pregnancy developed, e.g. Reaching your toes to paint your nails, shaving your legs etc.....

Leg shaving was hard but lady garden topiary became impossible. I looked like Don King down there!
Pedicures are your friend!!
Congratulations Thanks

Picking things up off the ground.
Shaving my legs.
Getting out of bed.
Having sex.
Getting out of the car.
Walking up stairs.
Reaching the back of the cutlery drawer.
Reaching into the freezers in shops. You know the big ones that you lift the lid up off of?
Getting out of the bath.
Trimming my foof.

Give me a minute, there's more Grin

What about tying shoe laces?

TheContrastofWhiteonWhite · 06/09/2013 14:14

Standing up if you sit down on the floor. Many uncharming sound effects.

Lj8893 · 06/09/2013 15:17

All of the above.

Eating on your lap - we are waiting for our dining table to be delivered and I'm really struggling to eat on my lap!

Getting out of the bath

Getting in and out of small public toilet cubicles

I'm sure there's many more!

Lj8893 · 06/09/2013 15:19

Oh and going to sit down on the floor if you have your hands full. I was packing away baby clothes in a drawer and as I sat down on the floor I lost balance and ended up rolling on my bum iyswim.

Dp said I looked like a weeble!

K8eee · 06/09/2013 18:47

Grin Ah I'm laughing at imagining myself rolling around like a weeble! Brilliant!

Trimming my foof is one thing I am going to hate Hmm I'll have to struggle on my own I think. I don't think I can trust dh to do it for me Grin

I never thought of eating on my lap. May have to eat at the table or on the floor Grin

Trying to look stylish and sexy Grin

Washing my hands/the dishes without soaking my tummy.
Reaching around the shower screen to turn the shower on.
Retrieving objects from the floor or from high cupboards.
Sleeping without the aid of 23 pillows in a fort formation.
Walking for more than half an hour.

26 weeks, I've got 14 more to find more things to struggle with Grin

Ezza1 · 06/09/2013 19:41

Walking between parked cars (wing mirror to wing mirror) in supermarket car park.

Getting in/out of car in said car parks.

Pushing supermarket trolley.

Unloading said supermarket trolley.

In fact any activity of daily living that we all take for granted Angry

DaleyBump · 06/09/2013 19:51

God yeah, also reaching into the bottom of the trolley Grin

Excited2meetmyprincess · 06/09/2013 20:31

So many things!! Washing the dishes without getting bump wet, putting clothes away in bottom drawers, getting off ten floor once u sit down, getting out the bath, ironing without burning bump.

LJ I did exactly the same thing trying to put babies stuff away in her drawers. Rolled back and then couldn't get up!! DH found this very funny and then couldn't help me up for laughing. Which because I'm a hormonal mess ended with me crying and him laughing more!! Oh the joys of pregnancy!! Xx
