Hello ladies... To anyone that's had more than one baby do you think you had different symptoms depending on what sex you were having? I feel exactly the same as I did when I was pregnant with my daughter and I'm just wondering if its likely I'm pregnant with a girl again maybe? X

I have one of each, and both pregnancies were very similar. With ds i had the horrid metallic mouth before i'd even poas and was more into sweet foods. With dd i really craved salt (and orange peppers!) no sickness with either and had weird episodes feeling faint in 3rd trimester both times.
I think everyone is different! Are you going to find out the sex?

bananananacoconuts · 05/09/2013 21:53

Congratulations btw!

MirandaWest · 05/09/2013 21:54

I had the same symptoms both times.

One boy and one girl :)

Iwish · 05/09/2013 22:02

I had 2 weeks of slight nausea with DS at 6-8 weeks and went off chicken.
This time I'm pregnant with a girl and felt so sick every minute if every day from the day AF was due until 13 weeks and have gone off all sorts of stuff. Mostly dairy.

Xx

I have one girl and one boy and am pregnant with another girl. My symptoms and cravings are exactly the same as When I was pregnant with my dd. I had absolutely no cravings apart from coke with DS. This time I want to eat soil and mud again.

devonsmummy · 05/09/2013 22:25

With ds slight morning sickness weeks 6-12, eased by eating chocolate (mars bars!)
Craved beet root (which I hate!)
Hot dizzy spells & shakes if I didn't eat little & often

Dd - before I knew I was pregnant I had an aversion to alcohol & a metallic taste in my mouth.
Sick as a dog from time I found out I was pregnant until around week 20
Couldn't stomach food - only chip shop cod minus batter.
Could hardly cook - especially with garlic or onion as I'd be retching.
My favourite vegetable, broccoli, smelt & tasted vile.
Feet were so swollen for the last few weeks it hurt to walk with flip flops

Strokethefurrywall · 05/09/2013 22:47

I'm wondering the same thing.

Didn't find out the sex with DS and won't be finding out with this one either.

With DS, I was sick as a dog (on tablets and still chucking up multiple times a day) from 6-12 weeks. I lost weight, I was totally off wine, coffee, tea, anything other than toast with marmite but only because it was the only thing I could taste.

Am 10+5 with DC2 and whilst I've had almost constant nausea, I've probably vomited three times, the nausea has finished already and from about 6 weeks, I went totally off my paleo diet, my appetite hit the roof and all I've been living on for the past few weeks are chocolate digestives, risotto and any other rice based food, carbs, carbs and more crappy carbs.

Imagine my joy when I woke up this morning to find that I wanted to eat fruit and boiled eggs again!

My general feeling is that this one is a girl. And 15 online chinese gender predictor tests can't be wrong can they??? Smile

princesscupcakemummyb · 05/09/2013 23:07

hi Mummabear12 Smile ive had 2 dd now expecting a boy and def a difference in the way i felt with my girls i had nausea but was never not once sick and it was mild but also craved a heck of alot of junk with them with this baby i knew it was a boy at like 12 weeks because i was soo ill from like 7 weeks till 14 plus weeks on and off being really sick and couldnt litrally hardly eat a thing till i got to about 16 weeks i had terrible food adversions so yep def knew the difference congrats Grin

IHeartKingThistle · 05/09/2013 23:09

One of each here. Indigestion with the boy but not the girl.
Acne with the girl but not the boy. With him I looked AMAZING Grin

SummerRain · 05/09/2013 23:11

Dd and ds2 were very similar pregnancies, ds1 was totally different.

The only gender dependent factor seems to be whether I get a positive test or not! With dd I never had a positive test, I did with both boys though. My mother didn't test positive with me either!

SummerRain · 05/09/2013 23:13

Although actually, thinking about it I had heartburn with dd but can't remember having it much with the boys. That may have been my lifestyle though, dd was my first and dp worked nights so we ate at odd hours.

Foxeym · 06/09/2013 10:04

2 DD's both times sick as a dog and terrible dizziness and fainting, currently 33 weeks with DS1 and just slightly nauseous weeks 7-14 and other than that I have been feeling ok :)

WhatWillSantaBring · 06/09/2013 11:01

PG with DS at the mo, and knew from about 7 weeks -

DD - serious nausea from week 6 to week 14 constantly. Craved savoury food (esp salt and vinegar crisps) and pineapple, but couldn't face anything sweet. Developed a nice neat bump at about 14 weeks, that looked obviously bump like from the off. Massive boobs

DS - v mild nausea for a few days about every two weeks, never been that bad. Constantly hungry. Craving sweet food (nyom nyom, just scoffed a mini roll). Got fat lumpy tummy at about 8 weeks that is only now (24 weeks) starting to look pregnant rather than fat. Really bad skin/acne for the first three months. Boobs at least two sizes smaller.

Found out the sex at the scan just because my instinct that it was a boy was so strong.

HorryIsUpduffed · 06/09/2013 11:54

Pretty similar symptoms (extended but mild morning sickness, craved bland food, SPD/PGP, indigestion).

Two sons and another on his way.

KirjavaTheCat · 06/09/2013 12:24

Identical pregnancies with both but this time it's a girl :)

(Well, supposedly. I'm still buying white.)

Strokethefurrywall · 06/09/2013 20:21

Well I definitely think this one is a girl, with DS I felt and looked the bollocks, had amazing hair, skin glowed, tiny little bump that peeped out at 26 weeks.

This one, bump at 10 weeks, gained 3lbs already, feel generally heinous and had bleeding. Think this one is a girl based on the worry it's given me already!

Jorior · 06/09/2013 20:49

2 boys, very similar pregnancies. 32 weeks with DD now and it's been totally different. The boys were tough for the 1st trimester and then I breezed it through with a constant hormonal euphoria. This time, 1st trimester wasn't so tough but I'm feeling increasingly drained as the weeks go by. I had acne for the 1st time and I've been properly erratic in terms of my moods. Both my DP and I knew from the 1st few weeks that it was a girl.
Congratulations and I hope it all goes well.

AmpullaOfVater · 06/09/2013 21:08

Last time round, no symptoms whatsoever. Didn't find out I was pregnant till about 18 weeks as a result!

This time round, sick as a dog, and absolutely knackered.

Girls both times.

Lovethesea · 06/09/2013 21:13

Same pregnancies with both, no sickness just exhausted.

One girl and one boy.

GrasshopperNchipmunk · 06/09/2013 21:57

I had hypermesis with both my boys and only severe sickness with my girl who was the 2nd child.

I also craved citrus with the boys and drank tea throughout my girl pregnancy (I hate tea). I knew my third was a boy as it mirrored exactly my first pregnancy!

Chilli81 · 07/09/2013 08:47

I had quite an easy first pregnancy with ds1. mild nausea at most. this time has been horrific. really bad nausea, spd, to tiredness. was sure it was gonna be a girl. it's another boy. Shock so for me it wasn't related to gender at all.

NomDeClavier · 07/09/2013 08:51

DS was easy as pie, no nausea, no tiredness, looked and felt great.

This one I was sick, tired and feel awful and supposedly a girl.
