Any gp's/midwives out there?!

Been suffering from awful thrush for months. Tried all the pessaries/creams etc. Nothing working.

Went to docs last week. She gave me fluconazole (I think!) 4 tablets, 2 in the morning, 2 in the evening. She didn't even ask if there was a possibility I was pregnant (I honestly didn't think, was busy with my 10 month old!)

Anyway, done a test today (been feeling dreadful), and bingo. Pregnant.

Now panicking like hell that these drugs will have affected things.

Google is bringing up nothing, except don't use oral tablets whilst pregnant.

HELP!

Stop worrying. I suffer several bouts of thrush with each pregnancy and take fluconazole. Its perfectly fine, my gp prescribes it. Ive already had one bout thus far this time and used the pessary and all is fine. Congratulations x

Phew ok thanks for replying!

I've just been panicking about taking the oral capsules? every link says you shouldn't but doesn't say why! (not helpful!)

It says don't take them because they don't know. Pregnant woman can't be tested on.

Congratulations.

Hi. I'm in exactly the same boat and have really been panicking that taking an oral tablet will have caused problems - taking some of my excitement away due to worry.
