Tommee Tippee bottles???

i have found some Tommee Tippee bottles online and i'm thinking of getting them as they are the essential kit and they are in a sale. Only problem is it doesn't say they are good for colic...if i post linkup can someone advise me this

im sure they aren't fir colic no. But if I remember correctly you can buy anti colic teats for the bottles.
Not sure how effective they are as I was fortunate enough to not need them!

I had this starter kit, it was great, still use the bottles and bottle warmer 18m on.

The vented teat is designed to help with colic, but they do sell separate colic bottles which are a lot more expensive. The whole bottle is different, not just the teat.

I have to say from my experience, I don't know anyone who's baby has suffered seriously from colic (obviously places like MN where people post for help and support will give the impression that a lot of babies suffer from colic). Given the price of colic bottles, I wouldn't personally buy them on the off-chance.

We have bought this for when our twins arrive. I plan to breastfeed but want the option of expressing and DP being able to help out. I have always heard great things about Tommee Tippee bottles and its a great price.

I think all Tomee Tippee bottles are marketed as being good for colic. All I know is that all babies are different and ours didn't get on with them. We spent a fortune on bottles and went back to basic avents in the end because not only did the anti-colic bottles not suit our little one, they made his wind worse. Avent took him back to a normal, baby-with-wind level.

My other pal got on with TT bottles but never tried avent. Her little girl had terrible colic so they clearly didn't work for her but didn't consider the bottle, and not the baby, was at fault.

We tried avent, avent with colic teats, Mam, cheap ones, tommee tippee, Dr Browns (avoid, avoid, avoid unless you love cleaning hard to clean things).

Tommee tippee bottles are anti colic as standard. The teats have a little holey thing that prevents air from being sucked up. You can also get separate anti colic+ bottles that have a teat without the suction hole.

I really recommend these bottles, as I combine fed both my babies with them with no problems. Just be aware about the differences in the teats when you come to buy new ones, as the anti colic bottle ones won't work with the normal bottles.

I have had avent for all three dc and never had any problems

Dc1&2 had normal avent and dc3 has avent naturally or whatever they're called

We had TT and they were great! I've heard Dr Brown are the best for colic, but I didn't need to use them. Those ones you buy separately and they are super expensive.

I had a post up a few weeks ago asking about which bottles etc.. And nearly everyone that comment said that avent were best. They had either only had avent or had tommee tippee but baby didn't like them so went to avent.
If you go on amazing you can get an avent starter kit comes with everything its £100 but if u keep looking it goes down to £50 I'm waiting until then as I'm not due til December so hoping it'll be on offer before then x

No one really knows what causes colic so I'd guess its just marketing guff.

Stom91, we found a great deal on isme cataloge online, half price so the avent was £50 and the tomee tipee was cheaper too, I've had some great advice from a friend who works with babies and she said avent every time so I'm more swayed towards them, if they are no good and I do have to change I have,kt spent a fortune x

The only advice we were given (we're very new to this baby lark) is that Tomee Tipee is only compatible with tiself (i.e. seteriliser, bottles etc) whereas the other three brands work with each others bottles/sterilisers.

There was one brand we were shown which filters out the air somehow, which was meant to be excellent for colic, but I can't for the life of me remember its name
