I've just noticed mine are harder to slide off when I want to put handcream on. I don't remember it being this early last time around (I'm 25 weeks ... um ... I think? Gosh, I'm losing count!) but yes, I'm thinking of the chain idea in the near future...

Just to make you both feel better, I had to take mine off in April last year when I was 25weeks pregnant.
Now I am 11weeks pregnant and havent had them on for a month!

I had to take mine off for the last month of pregnancy. Finally got them back on 4months after. Sorry girls but some of it stays for a while after, but it will go eventually. I know that seems hard to believe if its your first , I didnt.

I noticed mine were a bit tight last night when I took them off to put hand cream on but of course I put them straight back on again! Last pregnancey they really were too tight so I took them off, popped them in their box and slipped a plain (larger) band on for the rest of the pregnancy.

I didn't wear mine (even on a chain!) for about the last four months of preg or the first year after. They just sat in the bedside cabinet. I don't think anyone noticed...

I got a lovely chain for my birthday (when was 7 months pg) to hang them off. Because it was my birthday present it took my mind off my fat fingers.

I had to take off my wedding ring for the last 3m or so of my first pgcy, but had no trouble with it during my second. I was afraid that a chain would scratch the gold, so I put it on a thick soft ribbon.

I also insisted that dh put his on the ribbon when I went into labour, as I was afraid I'd hurt him with it when I squeezed his hands!

I had to take my rings off at about 6 months from what I remember. I wore them ona chain round my neck instead. Got them back on not long after having DD though.
