38+3 and feeling odd

I barely slept last night and went back to bed this morning at 8.30 after dh took ds to nursery. I woke up at 11- this is weird for me as I never lie in and feel like a total lazy slattern. I have no energy to do anything, and feel weepy and tired and a bit nauseous. Feel like being pg is getting me down, don't remember feeling like this last time Hmm

Is this normal?

Ill hold your hand - I'm feeling crappy too. No sleep, grumpy as I've ever been in my life! I'm only 36 weeks so at least you stand a chance of having your baby soon! Xxx

Nellysgirl · 03/09/2013 20:10

Ps sorry I didn't actually answer your question. I'm not sure if this is normal as I'm a first timer x

Rollermum · 03/09/2013 20:18

That sounds exactly how I felt last week (at 38 weeks) so I imagine it is normal, but I'm a first timer too. This week feeling bit more energetic and upbeat. I felt better after a cry and lots of naps.

Hope you feel better soon.

I felt like that for two days before my waters broke. I had an upset tummy too. Maybe DC is on his/her way?

Mummytomilo27 · 03/09/2013 20:27

I think its normal as we reach the end, im 40wks and felt like that since 36! Xx

I am 37+3 and feeling so awful.... completely knackered, baby's head jammed in my pelvis is pretty sore, I have been tearful, crabby and irritable AND I know have a delightful (!!) heavy cold and tickly sore throat... feeling SOOO sorry for myself!!! :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

You don't have any blood pressure issues do you? My pre-eclampsia presented itself 10 days before my due date in the form of extreme, fuzzy exhaustion (wasn't even able to pull my socks on), feeling weird, sore ribs and drinking lots but not peeing at all. Didn't realise that's what I had till I went to scheduled midwife appt and was sent straight to hosp. I'm certainly not saying that's what you've got, but I don't think the MWs are very good at communicating what symptoms to look out for - they just say you should watch out for an extreme headache, which I never got. Anyway, it's probably also normal and common at the end of pregnancy to feel very very tired. Hope you feel better soon Thanks

I'm actually worried about how I will have the energy to get through labour as I feel so lethargic. Am hoping adrenaline will take over?! Saw a friend with a newborn today and she was saying how she went on a really long walk in her due date to get things going- the thought of a long walk makes me weep with tiredness!!
