10 weeks pregnant and worried

I didn't get very sick early on, just painful bloating, didn't fancy certain foods and really tired. But last week (9 weeks) I suddenly felt so much better - more energy and I can eat anything now. I'm so worried all my symptoms have just disappeared. I had a scan at 8 weeks and everything was fine.

I've had 2 miscarriages in the past, 1 being a missed mc where they found no heartbeat at 12 weeks scan.

Is this ok to suddenly feel great this early? The 2 weeks until my 12 week scan seen an age away :(

Symptoms will dip in and out and they aren't really a sign of whether thibgs are going well (though I suppose it is reassuring having them). I've not had sickness in either of my pregnancies and in my first I had days or a week where I felt fine and had no symptoms but all was fine so try not to worry (though easier said than done)

Hi Keen - I'm 10wks+3 days and jealous!! Smile

My symptoms fluctuate and like you I got worried but I think it is par for the course. I used to wish that I was a having sickness as proof the pregnancy was progressing and yesterday I got my wish! I spent 2 hours hanging off the edge of the toilet bowl and ended up with me being in a heap on the bathroom floor just crying because of how s*it and miserable I felt. Thankfully I haven't been sick yet today but I'm not counting my chickens.

I have already seen my baby twice on scans and have got another scan tomorrow - all of them because of bleeding I've been having. That made me far more worried than my lack of symptoms...

Just enjoy each day you feel well and healthy because you don't know what the next one will bring.... Smile

Congratulations on your pregnancy x x

thanks both. I think what's worrying me is that horrible moment in the 12 week scan when I got told there was no heartbeat. It was horrendous. And I had no symptoms then for weeks before that as well :( Early pregnancy is always horrible isn't it? You're either sick as a dog or worried sick!

Oh Keen, I bet that was awful Sad

I'm dreading hearing those words tomorrow. The bleeding has been prolonged this time round and my stomach aches and cramps keep stopping and starting etc

My husband can't get out of work either to come to the scan with me Sad

Keenoonvino · 03/09/2013 15:36

Writer I hope things go well for you.

Sadly I've just had a scan and they couldn't find a heartbeat.

I feel dead inside. Absolutely heartbroken. Any believe its all happening again.

Oh Keen, I'm so, so sorry.

Why do bad things happen to good people?

I hope you have someone with you to give you lots of love and support. x x x

pizzaqueen · 03/09/2013 18:18

I've been through a mc too so understand your worry.

Apparently symtoms can settle around week 9 as that's when the baby starts to live from placenta rather than your blood supply. I think.

Keenoonvino · 03/09/2013 18:21

Thanks writer. I really hope things go well for you. I'm sure with all your sickness yesterday things will be fine. I read a lot of stories about people bleeding and being fine. I had no cramping or bleeding and had the worst outcome. So I really believe blood doesn't equal bad news. Thinking of you, let us know how you get on xx

Hi Keen,

Thankfully my scan went well - lots of wriggling arms and legs so I'm feeling much better today. Thank you for asking x

How are you doing?
