Bad Back Pain At Night

I'm 10 weeks and sleeping at night is agony. My lower back is incredibly painful and I can't find a comfortable position. It doesn't bother me during the day and my maternity pillow is not helping. Any ideas?

Chiropractor? I see one on a registry basis due back aches and niggles. Works a treat, although not for everyone Grinx

That's regular not registry! GrinX

I'm now 12 weeks in and haven't had a good nights sleep for weeks. It feels like muscular pain in my lower back and I now dread going to bed. I have no pain at all during the day and have never had back problems before I got pregnant.

Does anyone have any more suggestions on how I can get a few comfortable hours sleep?

Sleep on the sofa if thats more comfortable. Or prop yourself up with pillows in bed.

I use a hot water bottle on my lower back, you could try this. Paracetamol is ok to take during pregnancy for pain relief as well.

Ask your midwife to refer you to physio if possible, i have had physio for bad back & pelvis and this has helped.

I have a bad back. It awful I'm 26 weeks. The pg is making my back worse.
Try a hot water bottle should help ease it slightly.

Maybe get a massage.
Could it be your mattress? X

Thanks guys. Looks like I'm retreating to the sofa with a hot water bottle then!
