Can I eat pheasant?

Can't find a thread on this topic.

Have just defrosted a pheasant, planning to roast it tomorrow. Too late, it has occurred to me that this may be a bad idea when pregnant because of the lead shot.

Does anyone know?

You don't eat the shot. I'm sure it will be ok. There shouldn't bemuch in ther anyway unless somebody made a hash of shooting it.

Guardian says you shouldn't eat it regularly but if it's a one off you'll be ok.
