Shaking - why?!

Hi

I'm looking for advice really. I'm 10 weeks tomorrow, so still in early days. I'm sat here shaking though. I can't think why it is happening though ... I've slept well, had breakfast a couple of hours ago, have drunk enough, not stressed out or anything. I was like this last night too but put it down to being ready for bed.

Any ideas?

Shaking as in cold? Or shaking with tiredness/lethargy? I've been through 7 first trimesters (only 3 viable pregnancies) and every single time I've had cold shakes. I think it's to do with blood being rushed to the placenta leaving the rest of your body with less.

No, I'm not cold, just shaking. It's really odd. x

That's strange. Try eating nuts and things to keep your energy levels up and tell your midwife. You may have low iron levels.

I had this. At first I blamed caffeine withdrawal, but later midwife suggested it could be due to tiredness.

I had this at the beginning, if I let myself get tired I would start shaking, feeling sick and/or getting very emotional.
It was like I was on something or very drunk, I would even slur my words. It was quite scary because I felt really out of control.
Try sleeping some more, but if it continues, do speak to a Dr who can check you for everything just to rule out a potential problem!
Good luck xx

Thank you for all of your suggestions. I wasn't tired this morning, and have been off caffeine for weeks, so I don't think it's either of those things. I think I might phone my midwife tomorrow ... or try to ... it's my first day back at work and not telling them yet, so will need to get a quiet minute!

Thank you x
