DD is 10mo, I had a mmc in June at 12 weeks, just poas and positive! Don't know what to do, was booked in for implant next week and been taking pill in mean time. Not sure I could go through with abortion but really don't want another MC.

Don't really know why I'm posting could just do with some hand holding.

Sending you big hugs and congrats. Not a lot I can say as not in your position but here for hand holding xxx

coughingbeanintheoven · 31/08/2013 20:01

no useful advice, sorry. but I do have a hand for you to hold Brew

Take some time to think about things, you do not need to make a quick decision. Do you have anyone to discuss your options with, who could help you organise your thoughts without giving an opinion?

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 31/08/2013 21:03

There is nothing to say that you will have another MC. Many many women go on to have successful PGs.

Thanks for hand holding. I don't know who I could talk to, DP wants to keep it but I'm not sure what to do its such a shock.

LadyGoodman · 31/08/2013 21:23

Pg twice .....obviously

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 31/08/2013 21:26

You have my total sympathy. Ive been there and it SUCKS! Its really hard when you have a MC. Nothing is the same again and PG is SCARY. But, statistically, the chances of it happening again are very slim, even slimmer if you conceive within the first 6 months. Have a bit of a search about online for the statistics. We actively TTC after the MC, we both wanted it, but the worry nearly sent me insane!
There is a brilliant thread here in PG called "Posifrickintivity...PG after MC" or thereabouts. Its full of women in the same situation, who all feel the same way. We are all terrified! Confused Grin The support is amazing and definitely worth a look. The thread has just produced twins! There is also an excellent MC forum on here in 'Body and Soul' full of women who know what you have been through.

grassalwayslooksgreener · 31/08/2013 22:15

If you read my OP it says I have been taking the pill whilst waiting for the implant which takes forever to get in my drs.

Saggy Thanks for your support I'll take a look at that thread x

Try not to think of this as a possible MC, think of it as a probable baby.

Rockchick1984 · 31/08/2013 23:18

Grass I had a MMC at 12 weeks in April, am now 14 weeks with another baby (already have DS ages 2.5). Yes it's scary, I was utterly terrified in the run-up to my scans, and am understandably still nervous but the stats are on my side that this pregnancy is likely to be fine, as it is for you.

If you decide to go ahead with the pregnancy most EPU's will offer you at least one, possibly more early scans to see if everything is progressing as it should be. And definitely agree with Saggy - its a probable baby not a possible miscarriage!
