Just taken my toenail varnish off and it seems i have a slight fungal infection in two of my toe nails! :( I think it's the very early stages - just yellow/white patches under the nails, with one of them threatening to lift a bit.

Googled treatment and have read that oral tablets aren't recommended for pregnant ladies, but the 'topical', or 'paint on' treatments 'should be ok'.

Have also read about folk using Vicks Vapor Rub as a safe cure for this, rather than the 'paint on' fungal treatments.

Have read one report that Vicks is not a cure. Just a softener. And even after 6 months of using it the fungus will not be gone.

Confused now.

Any thoughts MN please ?

The only thing I'd use in pregnancy would be coconut oil, tbh.

Coconut oil. hmmmm.

Bet that smells better than Vicks.

Did you use if for a treatment something?

I think if it's that bad you might need a bit stronger than that. I have fungal infection between toes (on the skin) and my gp just prescribed ointment for it. best to get it checked out. good luck

What about teatree oil? It's supposed to be good for fungusy things.
