Right TMI but I'm in need of opinions

I'm 36weeks 3days pregnant with baby number 4 and rightly or wrongly I asked hubby to don a rubber glove and check my cervix. He said my cervix is open and about 2cm Soft on the out side but hard as Bone inside ????? Dose this mean I'm not effaced as its soft and squigy and being my 4th my cervix will be open already its and it's not dilated any?.
See the reason iv asked him to check is I had a scan the other day and baby measured huge already 7lb 11oz I'm REALLY scared as know now I'm going to have to have a huge baby one way or another. Iv done nothink but panic and cry since I found out. Iv been trying clarey sage bathes ,walking LOADS ,bouncing on yoga ball, sex, I know baby wont come till baby's ready not when I'm ready :( but the consultant I saw said they won't help me just because of a big baby he offered me sweep at 40weeks grrr I know it won't work (as I had sweeps with all my daughters and they didn't work I went over with all) so my true fear is my baby will go over due and be huge if he's already 7lb 11oz and only 36weeks along he could be inside for another 5-6 weeks so could according to every think iv read he can out 1lb week on so could end up being 12-13lb !!!
Anyway got lost in a rant sorry my original question is about my cervix. dose it mean I'm starting something or is it completely normal being number 4 ? and I'm nowhere near having my baby?
I have been getting ALOT of Braxton hicks with this baby and ALOT of pressure down below x

OK well firsltry your husband is not a midwife so how can he access your cervix?! I doubt he has accessed any others to compare it to!

Secondly you are a multiple so your crevix will be slightly open anyway.

Thirdly estimation of weight from scans is notoriously unreliable!

Where your other babies big? Where they early or late?

Braxton hicks and pressure is normal and all god signs your body is getting ready. :)

Delivering a huge baby is a huge scare of mine what if he gets stuck!???

From his description is he feeling the head in the middle? - I check my own later in pregnancy after a bath it's not too tricky ( also not a mw!!!) if he can get two fingers in the middle, did he stretch it - midwifes compare it to an elastic band and (gently) stretch - from your description you sound like it is thinning and has moved from the back - ( I doubt you walk around with a 2cm dilation all the time etc) I'm on my 3rd dc and I know mine isn't always open etc ( especially as mine is only just a fingertip ATM!)

36 weeks is still very early. It's statistically unlikely that you're about to go into labour imminently. I can't imagine it's a good idea for your husband to be fumbling around in your cervix, though.

Ok so had hubby check again with new clean rubber glove last night. He confirmed it is open enough to get 2x fingers in its very soft and the had thing is baby's head as as he gently wriggled it I felt it in my low bit of my bump he said he could see my bump move too. We have now said we won't do it again we will wait for the midwife to do it. So I been walking loads bouncing on ball loads sex more and just trying to relax ( but that's almost inpossible due to my fears of his size and delivery) hubby thinks I won't go over due this time if cervix is already changing but we shell see fingers crossed my baby dosnt get huge and I end up not being able to pass him and getting induced. I hope he comes natruel when he's ready and before he Gaines loads of weight
