Cramping and backache at 18 weeks

I'm 18+1 and over the last few days have been getting niggly mild period pain-type cramps.. Not particularly painful and nowhere near the intensity of my normal period pains or implantation cramps that I had at the beginning but a bit uncomfortable. I also have backache.
I stand up for 8-9 hours a day at work.
I have also had recurring UTIs and am on antibiotics for another one could this be causing it?
Bit worried now :(

Also forgot to add that I'm not really feeling a lot of movement yet. A few twitches here and there and some flutters that I think 'is that the baby' and then come to the conclusion that it probably wasn't.

Could be the UTIs. I had them through my whole pregnancy and it wasnt nice :(

Also could just be baby moving around and growing. As your body is adjusting to the baby you sometimes get growing/stretching pains which can feel like period cramps.

If your worried though speak to your midwife or doctor, they'll be the best people to advise you on what it is. HTH and congrats! Grin X

Thanks Mama. Glad to know it doesn't sound like something is seriously going wrong with my pregnancy! Terrified of my 20 week scan :(

Why are you terrified?

Is this your first pregnancy? X

Yes. Baby was very unexpected and a surprise but I now can't imagine my future without the baby! I was a nervous wreck the night before I got to my 12 week scan and was convinced I'd have had a MMC. I'm scared I won't be as lucky two times in a row and that this time there'll be bad news. :(

Aww don't worry, I'm sure everything will be fine. You'll get to find out if its a boy or girl on the 20 week scan Smile (thats if you want to find out) so look forward to that instead. Also it's your half way mark! Grin
