Pregnancy Massage - Anyone treated themselves?

For my upcoming birthday I'm being treated to the pregnancy package at my local spa. Just wondering if anyone has been for something like this and what was it like? Not sure how it all works as I find it hard sitting/lying/standing/generally moving or being still right now so not sure how they're going to work with me :)

A friend had one of these and liked it. I'm debating it but am meant to be saving for mat leave and am too busy at the moment anyway! Will have to make do with a few back and foot rubs from DH! Enjoy!

My mum treated my to one when I was pregnant with DD2.
The spa u went to had slightly adapted beds and a chair which were very comfortable.
I had a facial, pedicure & full body massage. She asked whether it was ok to massage my bump which I wasn't sure about but it was lovely. Left feeling very relaxed :)

Thank you both! Looking forward to it Smile

It's my birthday next week and I was considering a pregnancy massage :)
Think I'll go ahead with it. (Slim to none chance of backrub or footrub off DH lol!)
Enjoy OP :)

I had one this week. I'm 35 weeks. I lay on my side for the back massage but she said I could sit on a chair if I was uncomfortable. I had an extra pillow for under bump. It was very relaxing.

I had one at 37 weeks and loved it. The lady used a special massage bed, with pillows that I positioned my bump through. It was bliss being able to lie on my stomach

I've had a couple, both woth essential oils... And they were wonderful. One had me on my side, the other on my front (with a support hole for bump). I'd worried a little about them rubbing the bump as I didn't fancy that, but they were brilliant and checked in with my comfort often. The feet and hand parts were amazing....

Well I had it today and it was pure bliss!!! :) They set up a beanbag and pillows on the floor and I have to say it's the most comfortable I have been in 30 weeks. Baby kicked like crazy the whole way through as probably never sensed me so relaxed.
Want one every day now!

I treat myself to several massages each pregnancy. I think it's important to have relaxation and me time before baby comes. I went today for massage and facial :) decided to buy a course of 5 bc you get 6th one free. btw if ur looking for the ultimate pregnancy massage, go to manderan oriental hotel in Knightsbridge. It's expensive, but so worth it! They have special pillows so you can lie on your stomache! It's called pregnancy rose massage or something. Wait until you are big, so it's worth it. I went twice last pregnancy and this one, will prob go only once bc I have been going to a spa closer to me for pregnancy massages, which don't cost an arm and a leg :)

If money is tight, get ur partner to massage you for thirty minutes. After all, he helped make the baby and ur carrying it for 9 months, the least he can do is rub ur back for thriy mins :)

I had one when pregnant with DS and it was amazing. It was so soothing and relaxing and DS seemed to enjoy it too!

I had one a couple of weeks ago so I was 32 weeks and it was amazing. No bump hole but I was on my side with pillows for a back and leg massage and then she made the bed sit up (like a hospital bed) and massaged my shoulders and scalp and then my feet and ankles. She was lovely making sure I was comfortable and I felt really pampered. Was a gift from my dad, he said I can have another once I'm on mat leave Grin
