9 weeks and RIDICULOUS hunger...

I'm getting quite concerned here.. I'm 9 weeks with no2 and I am so so hungry all the time. If I don't eat for 2 hours I feel weak and sick with hunger! I put on 4 stone with dd1 and have now lost it all (and more) and really don't want to pile it all back on, but I just have to eat. This may be boring, but today I have had 2 crumpets, a cheese sandwich, jelly, half a tuna sandwich, a frappacino, 4 picnic eggs, and I'm just waiting for the rice to cook for my chilli con carne... So stressed I'm going to get huuuuge...anyone else feel the same?

At nine weeks I couldn't eat at all. At 24 weeks I swing from starving to being repulsed by food. I think the only thing I can say is if you are hungry and need to eat try to snack on healthier stuff.

Ooh, I remember that! I recall being so hungry that I'd leave the office to get lunch from the shop at the end of the road, and have to buy an extra sandwich to tide me over on the walk back, because I was too hungry to wait till I got back to the office.

yup same here, and if I dont eat I start to feel sick.
I found just a biscuit or too calms the hunger

None of the foods you have eaten are slow energy releasing, and there's no fruit or veg (until the chilli). I gained a ridiculous amount of weight when I had DS - more than you did, so this pregnancy I've been being a bit more careful so far.

Average day is porridge or muesli for breakfast, a piece of fruit mid-moning, jacket potato for lunch, vegetable sticks and hummus for mid-afternoon, chilli is fine for tea but have brown rice rather than white. I allow myself a treat for supper - small chocolate bar or cake.

I never allow myself to get hungry throughout the day, but have only gained 1lb at 14 weeks now. I'd put on over a stone at this stage last time!

I was like this both times. 14 weeks with #2 now and it's calming down. I'd say give into it for the next few weeks and then if it hasn't let up by 2nd trimester start to eat much healthier to try and deal with worst of the potential weight gain.

I have found by second trimester I'm not so hungry and I'm satisfied with less sugary, fatty foods so I would give yourself a few weeks to see if you turn a corner and start to think 'not more cake.'! My body has started to tell me 'no more sugar' by second trimester if that makes sense?

I've gained 4lb so far which I'm ok with. I gained 2 stone overall with DD which I think is ok so listening to my body worked for me.

I was hungry most of the time and am now over 39wks and have gained two stone which I'm happy with.

I ate when I was hungry but I made sure I was eating healthy stuff - for carbs I ate tons of oats/porridge, some granola/muesli, bananas, seeded wholegrain bread only. All quite high calorie but slow release energy.
For protein I stuck to fish and lean meat (no cheese).
And I tried to eat root veg (usually in soups etc) as I totally went off salad-type leafy veg.
