My midwife gave me the forms but I had to go to the hosptal to give the blood for the test, however I did do it all on the same day. HTH

i think the test can be done between 16-20 weeks... they tend to do it at 16.... they may not do it if they feel that the result would be inaccurate due to yur dates. The next scan can look for soft markers for you, so mention to them if you dont have a triple test done.... xx

the latest they normally do it is 20 weeks as I had mine done at 18 weeks and was a bit woriied about it being so late. Thankfully it came back low risk but had to wait 2 weeks for those results. Its just as well it was low risk as I dont know if I would have had amnio results back in time to be within the 24 week period. (not that I would have known whether I could terminate the pregnancy anyway if the results had come back positive for down/spina bifida)

It depends what you would do if it came back high risk - would you have an amnio and risk miscarriage or would you plan on keeping the baby whatever the outcome - if you would keep the baby anyway it would not matter whether you took the test or not.
